About the Artist

Anthony S. Murrill is an American artist . He enjoys painting with bold colors and texture. He paints a wide range of things including animals, people and even landscapes. “I love painting just about everything, from small pet portraits to large modern statement pieces.” He has been happily married for 22 years and has two daughters. He was born in Florida, but has been an Ohio resident since 1997. He has his studio/gallery in Historic Springboro and wood shop in Trenton.

Anthony has loved art as long as he can remember. Some of his earliest memories are drawing. As a child, his family moved many times. Drawing became a place of comfort and joy. Although sometimes challenging, those life changes, have been influential in who Anthony has become and lead to interests in many different areas. The different experiences of living around the country have melted together and can now be seen in the wide range of subject matter portrayed in his paintings.

After starting college as a fine arts major, Anthony began working as a carpenter, followed by building a successful small remodeling company. Although, he was using his Creative gifts in the construction business, he was not drawing, painting or being fully creative. After taking a hiatus from painting and drawing for 16 years, Anthony’s passion for art was rekindled quickly through a series of events starting in 2015. (That story is for another day)

Today, Anthony is a full time creative.  You can usually find in the studio creating a new bold piece of art. Occasionally he will still sneak off to the wood shop to build a piece of furniture or a custom frame for one of his paintings. He is currently focused on painting new bold pieces.

Anthony is gaining recognition nationally for his large textured contemporary art and shipping pet portraits all around the country.
