Gibson Dove - Times are a changin
This painting of the Gibson Dove guitar is inspired by Bob Dylan’s song Times are a Changin. I start these painting by building a custom sized wood panel using cabinet grade plywood and poplar backing. Once the panel is primed and sanded I begin painting. This ebony Dove is painted with acrylic paint. The background is gold leaf foil and it is finished with 2 layers of Resin. I finish the piece off with a custom built wood floater frame.
